A Victorian-based lesbian group is seeking an exemption to the Sex Discrimination Act so it can legally discriminate against transgender women when it holds public events.
TERFs make me sad. The fact that they have decided that people want someone less deserving of equal rights than them is so short sighted. If trans rights are removed, it just helps justify removing their rights shortly after. Gay marriage is already on the chopping block again in the US. And women’s rights in general after that since much of the justification is biblical, not scientific, and in biblical terms, women are property of men.
