The more I think of it I think it would be cool if there was a myth in the vein of Satan about an angel that stood up to God and tried to be an actual good and just steward of humanity.

I am an American. I am very not religious and not conservative. I love my family but when the conversation veers from the weather or other such mundane things I feel very very lonely.

But god is the ultimate dick. He created everything and decided to torture us because of it. He could have just created us and made us perfect but no. He created us as imperfect and decided to play games with us because… he is bored I guess?

They know the argument is stupid. This is 100% just pouring gas on the culture war. Gotta keep that hatred stoked so they have a political platform to run on.
